Laura Gonçalves (Portugal)

In 2009 finishes her course at Fine Arts in Lisbon. After working in several animation films as inbetweener and art finalist, applies to the Animation MA at Arts University Bournemouth where she directs her first animation short Three Weeks in December. In 2013 moves to Porto, where she works in BAP as an animator and painter, for several productions of BANDO A PARTE. In 2016 she co-directs with Alexandra Ramires (Xá), the animation short Drop by Drop. In 2022 premieres her film The Garbage Man. In 2024 premieres her most recent film co-directed with Alexandra Ramires Percebes , produced by BAP Animation Studio, a Cooperative of which she is one of the founding members.
