Marika Pecháčková had studied photography, journalism and Latin America before she finally knew that documentary film is the place from which she wants to watch and understand the world around. Studies at the Documentary department at FAMU were in some way a fall of her old life and a birth of a new, much genuine, one. At FAMU and as a studied photographer she was discovering her film language: with the camera in her hands she sometimes feels to be immersed in the world catching the images that jump on their own to the camera like butterflies. Her fundamental structures of thinking come from psychology and personal experience with psychotherapy. She has 3 kids and lives with them and her partner in Prague.
DAFilms.com is powered by Doc Alliance, a creative partnership of 7 key European documentary film festivals. Our aim is to advance the documentary genre, support its diversity and promote quality creative documentary films.
