Maximilien Van Aertryck (France)

Maximilien Van Aertryck is a French-German director born in Paris. He lives in Gothenburg and works at Plattform Produktion where he closely collaborates with Axel Danielson. His short documentary, ICEBREAKERS (2011), explores the life onboard a passenger ferry crossing the wintery Baltic Sea. It premiered at Visions du Réel in Switzerland. In 2016, his short film TEN METER TOWER premiered at the Göteborg Film Festival and was awarded the Startsladden Short Film Award. It was also awarded the Best Short Documentary Film at Ji.hlava IDFF 2016.
