A tender portrait of three protagonists seeking balance in their complex relationships with the world, their surroundings and their families. Each of them is at a turning point in their lives: a woman has an abortion, a man becomes politically radicalised and joins a right-wing party and another one who breaks ties with the Church by committing apostasy. The worldview divisions, however, do not obscure the desire common to each of them - a sense of autonomy and an understanding of who they are.
