Civil engineers Zuzana (23) and Vladimír (21) wanted to prove that “they can make it” both to themselves and to others. They built their home on their own and tried to fulfil their dreams as well. While Vladimír longed to study photography at the Academy of Performing Arts, Zuzana longed to have a child. They both succeeded, Zuzana even three times. In the end, Vladimír did not study photography; however, thanks to the understanding of his wife, he became an amateur and later professional photographer. After the revolution, another of his dreams came true; he went to the US to work there for six years. Euphoric after his comeback, he started opening one studio after another, making new beginnings and ambitious projects; hardly any of which succeeded. After twenty three years, his marriage broke up; however, while Zuzana was able to start another relationship with her new boyfriend, Vladimír is at the beginning – again.
