For almost a decade, the seven festivals in Doc Alliance—that's the 'DA' in DAFilms!—have each nominated one short and one feature length film for the prestigious Doc Alliance Award every year.
The time is upon us again to reveal the winners of this year's edition, which will be revealed this Saturday 12th at Dokufest Kosovo, the guest festival for 2023. Here we've put together a selection of some of the films nominated for the award. While we gear up to give the award for the best short and feature length film, you can get a taste of these innovative and envelope-pushing works yourself.
As an extra, you can also rediscover a number of the Doc Alliance Award winners from the past years, which have gone on to enduring success in the world of documentary, including last year's winner, A Night of Knowing Nothing, which will be available for limited time, from August 10-17, 2023.
