CPH:DOX 2024 festival focus on DAFilms
CPH:DOX 2024 might be over but to celebrate its commitment to the diversity of documentary storytelling as well as to strong contemporary narratives we have put together a collection of the festival’s films from the past years with a focus on our complex relationship with nature.
Ranging from two older films in our collection - Brett Story’s, The Hottest August, a collective portrait of New York City’s inhabitants facing alarming environmental questions, and Marion Neumann’s, The Mushroom Speaks, which explores fungi’s healing qualities and their importance for the Anthropocene, to two new additions - Iva Radivojevic’s, Aleph, a travelogue spanning five continents inspired by Jorge Luis Borges, and Veronika Lišková’s, The Visitors, a portrait of the northernmost settlement on the planet. This selection will pique your interest in the diversity of cinematic expressions reflecting our world in the present moment.
DAFilms.com is powered by Doc Alliance, a creative partnership of 7 key European documentary film festivals. Our aim is to advance the documentary genre, support its diversity and promote quality creative documentary films.
